Garmin launched the third-generation MARQ collection on 13 October 2026. There are six models: Adventurer, Athlete, Aviator, Commander, Diver and Golfer. There is no MARQ Captain this time. For boat owners, the model to look at is the new MARQ Diver.
Garmin MARQ Diver: the boating MARQ
According to Garmin’s press release, the MARQ Diver includes helm features such as autopilot control and tack assist, alongside its diving tools for scuba, apnea and snorkelling down to 40 m.

What else is new in MARQ Gen 3
Garmin lists new navigation features, embedded inReach messaging and up to 18 days of battery life in smartwatch mode across the range. Each model has its own bezel, strap and watch faces.

Price and availability
The MARQ Gen 3 range is available now, from US$2,500.
Our take
For most sailors a quatix covers the same boating features for far less money. But if you wanted a MARQ Captain, the MARQ Diver is now its replacement in all but name.
