Victron has previewed three electrical-system products ahead of METSTRADE: the Koro 640 GX S, BMV-812 Smart and Smart Alternator Sense. Its 5 November announcement outlines integrated DC distribution, a touchscreen battery monitor and extra alternator protection for Orion XS chargers.
The announcement gives no prices or availability dates for those three products. However, visitors can find Victron at stand 01.541 in Amsterdam on 17–19 November 2026.
Koro 640 GX S: DC distribution meets GX
The Koro 640 GX S combines 12V or 24V DC distribution with a GX communication centre. It includes two MPPT solar chargers, a DC-DC charger, a battery monitor and fused DC distribution bus bars.
Alongside alternator and solar charging, Victron lists load switching, lighting dimming and tank-level monitoring, with control through a phone or GX Touch interface. For a new boat electrical installation, the attraction is bringing several separate functions into one unit. However, Victron has not specified charging-current ratings in the announcement.

BMV-812 Smart: touchscreen battery monitoring
Meanwhile, the BMV-812 Smart adds a full-colour touchscreen to the compact format of the BMV-712. It supports 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V systems, displaying state of charge, voltage, current and time to go, with audible and visual alarms.
It also connects to GX devices and VictronConnect. Victron describes it as a drop-in replacement for older BMV models.
Smart Alternator Sense: protection for Orion XS

For Orion XS owners, Smart Alternator Sense measures engine RPM, alternator temperature and voltage, sharing that information through VE.Smart Networking.
As a result, the charger can reduce current when the alternator gets hot and scale charging with engine speed. RPM sensing also provides engine-on detection independent of alternator voltage, useful when voltage alone does not tell the full story.
VE.Can BMS NG: coming in 2027

Finally, Victron says its VE.Can BMS NG will arrive from March 2027 for GX-controlled systems using NG lithium batteries. The accompanying image remains a concept render, so the final design may change.
