Garmin has refreshed its all-in-one SD-card update for GPSMAP chartplotters. Version 2026.1027.0 is dated 27 October 2026 and replaces the 2026.0921.0 bundle from September.
The chartplotter software itself hasn’t moved: the GPSMAP 9×10/9×13/9x17xsv stay on 45.03 and the GPSMAP 9×19 to 9×27 and 9500 Black Box on 45.02. What changes is the list of network devices the card brings up to date:
| Device | Previous bundle | 2026.1027.0 |
|---|---|---|
| LiveScope 2 LVS42HD | not listed | 2.00 |
| LiveScope 2 LVS44 | not listed | 2.00 |
| GMI 40 instrument display | 45.01 | 45.05 |
| Signal VHF 220/400 | 1.20 | 1.21 |
| JL Audio A60 / A60-H | not listed | 3.00 |

That makes it the first SD bundle we’ve seen that lists the new LiveScope 2 transducers. If you’ve fitted LiveScope 2 this season, this is the card to build. Garmin’s page gives version numbers only, with no changelog, so we can’t tell you what changed in the GMI 40 or Signal VHF builds.
How to install: download the zip, put only the Garmin folder on a FAT32 microSD card (16 to 32 GB), power up every networked device, and insert the card in your primary plotter. Garmin warns it can take 20+ minutes on larger networks. Plotters joined only by NMEA 2000, not the Garmin Marine Network, have to be updated one by one with the same card. Back up your waypoints first and don’t reuse an ActiveCaptain or chart card.
